This policy describes Idle Colony as it exists today, which is in development and not yet on the App Store. As it stands the app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and makes no network requests at all. Your colony is a file on your own device.
Advertising, in-app purchases and iCloud save sync are all planned. This policy will be updated before any of them ships, and the App Store privacy labels will be updated to match. It will not quietly start describing collection that already began.
Nothing. It has no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting and no user profiles. It never asks for your name, email, location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos, because it does not use them.
Your progress is saved to a file in the app's own storage on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere. It is included in your device backup if you back up your device, and deleting the app deletes it.
The app currently makes no network requests of any kind. There is no server operated by its developer, and no third-party SDK in the app that talks to one.
Written here in advance so there are no surprises later. None of this is in the app today.
Idle Colony is not directed at children. Because the app does not track users or read advertising identifiers, it does not build a profile of any player, including a child. When advertising is added it will be limited to content rated G.
Today there is nothing to opt out of, because nothing is collected. When advertising is added, watching an advert will be entirely optional and the game will be completable without ever watching one. You can also limit ad measurement system-wide in Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising and Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
This page carries the date it was last changed. Any change that affects what leaves your device will be made here before the feature ships, not after.
